We are having isolated dimming of lights issues.  We are going to have an electrician look at rewiring the building.  Does anyone have any experience with this issue or have any thoughts on the problem?

We are tackling a smilar issue with the Plaza lighting.  Lights are on wlakways all night lonh shining into Mall condos.  We are considering shrouds to ensure lights shine on walkways but not  outward.  Another suggestion has been motion sensors, but this may be more expensive.

I replaced most of mine with slide dimmers in River Run Townhomes and have had no problems. But we were built in 2017 and the wiring should be newer.

Ours blink occasionally but have not noticed prolonged dimming.

Jan:  An electrician is a very good idea.  The dimming of lights means to me that something is drawing that electricity away for its own benefit; other more powerful lights, AC, etc.  Not sure you need a rewiring, but maybe an upgraded electrical box and adding or rearranging the breakers, possibly identifying the source for the power drain and giving that its own circuit.  Again, the electrician should sort that out.

Maybe consider contacting Excel energy's audit program to see if their audit would look into your issues. The audits are free to homeowners, but it looks like they charge a fee for larger buildings.  At least they would give impartial advice.
