Question from Tom Miller - KOA Board Member, Infrastructure Chair

If Keystone incorporates, what are the main infrastructure projects you think the Town of Keystone should address?  Keeping in mind cost is an issue, I would like to take these responses and develop a broader survey on the issue so these projects can be presented to the Town Council at an appropriate time.

I think focusing on human safetey is a top priority in Keystone.

    1. A stop light at Razor Drive so people can exit razor drive safely
    2. Separated sidewalks on Hwy 6 - basically a guardrail or some barrier that keeps pedestrians completely OFF the highway or a much safer way for pedestrians to walk along US-6.  The bike paths do not connect businesses and clear sidewalks are really needed.
    3. Bridges over or tunnels under Hwy 6 so people can cross over in other areas that are needed such as Sanke River Rd / Barbour Dr, Caravelle Dr, Saints Johns Rd,
    4. This is a really tough one - Somehow connect East and West Keystone Roads to have a secondary complete pathway through Keystone instead of only Hwy 6.  The big issues here is land ownership and trying to get some design or cooperation between several HOAs.

I like Peter's suggestions.  Hope that we can afford our own police/sheriff dept too.  I'm totally for having our own town....finally.  Besides, Keystone generates millions for the county that needs to remain IN Keystone.  Let me give this more thought on the infrastructure.

Hello! I agree with safety as a priority, especially at the pedestrian crossing at Hwy 6 between Dos Locos and the Goat bar. I hope there is a cost effective solution (bridge? tunnel?).

I would prefer to not have additional connections between the village centers (lakeside / mountain house / river run), and have them connected only by Hwy 6. My condo is in Lakeside Village, and I appreciate the low traffic and quiet south of Hwy 6.

I'd like to see a public trailhead and/or small parking area at the north end of Keystone.

I would like to second the stop light at Rasor Drive.

Would like to see some maintenance program for the bridges over the Snake River.
