    Eric Geis - Tenderfoot Lodge

The Tenderfoot Lodge started exploring EV Charging about a year ago. We have been approved for an Xcel grant to install 4 EV chargers in our garage, selected the chargers, and installation is scheduled to begin by Sturgeon Electric. It is a VERY slow process, but we expect to be operational between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am currently traveling in Europe and will be back in a few weeks. If you want to get together for coffee or have a Zoom call, we can schedule that when we are back.

At Flying Dutchman we went through Xcel and were approved for their EV grant for the installation of 4 charging stations. However there was still a $6k upfront cost for installation for us (may vary). We were also looking at covering the monthly rental cost (though there is the potential to recoup costs). Given the cost the board sadly decided to put this on hold. Note ..if you go through Xcel you have to allow the public access to the charging stations at least some of the time. Let me know if you need to contact info for the guys I worked with Xcel. They were great.

I am president of Lone Eagles homeowners association.

We received a couple of grants and will be installing EV stations later this month.

Colorado does have a grant program but applications closed late in June.  It is administered by a private administrator so have to watch for applications to open again.

I believe that Quicksilver secured a grant and are in the process of investigating installation of a charging station.  You might contact Kyle Gorman the CAM who is investigating this for the HOA.

Question from Bruce Kosbab - Keystone Gulch

In Keystone Gulch, some of our owners are interested in charging their electric vehicles during their stay.  We, the HOA Board, are looking for information regarding systems, policies, and procedures on this to determine the best approach.  Have any of your HOA's begun looking at EV charging within your complexes and could you share your strategies and approach?
