At the Sanctuary, we have wood decks and are experience a big problem with deck maintenance.  It requires re-staining too often and some owners go on their own and use inappropriate materials, i.e. paint or sold color stain, which makes the problem worse. Two questions:

1. Has anyone come up with a good process for maintaining wood decks?

2. Has anyone converted from wood to synthetic decks and what has your experience been, i.e. homeowner satisfaction, maintenance, cost worth it?
